Senior Project Manager
Michael is a Project Manager with the firm and has been practicing engineering since 1983. He has extensive engineering and management experience in municipal government and public work projects. Michael’s experience includes 28 years of public sector experience for the cities of Austin and Temple, Texas. He served in such positions as Land Development – Engineering Review, Project Manager, Design Engineer, Localized Flood Hazards Services Manager, City Engineer and Assistant Director of Public Works.
He has extensive knowledge and experience in Public Works Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) program and project management, master planning, flood plain management, technical criteria development, city ordinance development and implementation, Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4), creek flood and erosion hazard mitigation, local flood hazard mitigation, dam safety, emergency response during and after flood events, diverse public works operations, land development processes, team building and customer service. Michael received distinguished service recognition awards from both cities he served.
Michael is a Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Texas and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas in 1983. He is also a licensed Certified Floodplain Manager and is a active member in the Texas Floodplain Management Association.
