Alvin R “Trae” Sutton, III, P.E., CFM

Partner

Trae is a partner in the firm and has been practicing engineering since 2000. His engineering experience includes project management, design, preparation of construction plans and specifications, and construction administration for roadways, pedestrian facilities, drainage systems, water distribution and wastewater collection systems. He also has construction and inspection experience on major highway projects (Interstate 35). Trae is knowledgeable regarding the various permitting agencies and has good working relationships with both TxDOT and the Corps of Engineers and has extensive knowledge regarding the rules and regulations for pedestrian facilities set forth by AASHTO, Texas Accessibility Standards and Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines. Mr. Sutton has also successfully completed the Local Government Project Procedures Qualification for the Texas Department of Transportation.

Trae is active in the American Society of Civil Engineers, (Past President) and Texas Society of Professional Engineers (Past Local MathCounts Chair and Past State Chair, MathCounts). He was named Young Engineer of the Year (2007) and Engineer of the Year (2009) in Central Texas by the Texas Society of Professional Engineers.

Trae graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas (96530) and Certified Floodplain Manager.
