Kegley Road Is Open For Use!

Temple, Texas

We are pleased to share that Phase II of the Kegley Road improvements is complete and officially open for use!

Previously a rural road, Kegley Road has transformed into a minor arterial road, offering a safer alternative route for traffic from IH-35 to the west side of town.

Phase II of the transportation improvements included widening the previous two-lane roadway into three, constructing sidewalks and guardrails, and building an elevated bridge structure that crosses over Pepper Creek. The utilities along Kegley Road were also updated, including drainage components and additional water lines to improve connectivity in the area with the City’s water system.

In collaboration with the City of Temple, KPA Engineers will complete Phases III and IV of the Kegley Road improvements. These phases will extend the roadway and improvements from Phase II to the intersection of Charter Oak Drive. The enhancements will include expanding pavement sections with a continuous left-turn lane and pedestrian facilities, drainage conveyance, utilities, and another elevated bridge structure over Pepper Creek.

KPA Engineers performed Environmental, Geotechnical, and Archeological Assessments as part of the Kegley Phase II Project, in addition to providing Design Surveys, Structural Design, Final Design, Bidding Services, Construction Administration, and On-Site Representation.
