Progress on Waco’s Dutton Avenue Roadway and Utility Improvements

In December 2019, KPA was commissioned to provide professional civil engineering services to the City of Waco for the design of replacement water & wastewater infrastructure and street point repairs on Dutton Avenue, from 11th Street to 26th Street.

Site topography and existing improvement field surveys began in December 2019 and within the last year, KPA has worked with The City of Waco to complete sidewalks, driveways, curb, gutter, and paving from 18th St. to 26th St., along with the installation of a water line to 15th St. Two pedestrian ramps have been installed at 15th St. and in the upcoming months, construction will continue on water and wastewater installations from 11th St. to 17th S.

These improvements are intended to increase access to the community’s resources: more water access; safer, pedestrian-friendly pathways; faster roadways that’ll get drivers where they need to go as quickly and safely as possible.
