Blackland Road Extension & Utility Improvements

This City of Temple, Texas project features the extension of Blackland Road from Little River Road to State Highway 95. The project includes the construction of a four-lane divided roadway, installing water and wastewater utilities, storm drainage, landscaping, and a new sidewalk along the corridor.

The Blackland Road extension will tie into future improvements of Little River Road and State Highway 95, providing enhanced mobility and the infrastructure needed to serve projected growth in the Southeastern portion of Temple.

As the proud consulting firm for this project, KPA developed the preliminary and final designs for the roadway and utility improvements. In addition, KPA has provided Environmental Assessments, LiDAR Aerial Mapping Surveys, Geotechnical Investigations, Bidding Services, Construction Administration, and On-Site Representation. As part of the landscaping design portion of this project, KPA Engineers collaborated with Covey Planning + Landscape Architecture to plan and implement beautification elements.
