Progress on Temple Drainage Assessment & Modeling Project
Temple, TX
KPA’s Michael Newman, Askarali Karimov, Addison Skrla, Landon Kasberg, and Sam Blumenthal are currently working on Phase II of the Drainage Assessment and Modeling for Temple, Texas.
This project involves analyzing multiple watersheds in the Bell County area over a large period of time. These engineers must study the present and future FEMA calculated floodplains using advanced programs such as USACE’s HEC-HMS and GeoHECRAS. These FEMA studies are utilized when determining flood insurance, flood rates, and flood risk. All of the information gathered is used to gain a futuristic analysis of flow rates through roadway crossings to prevent roadway inundation.
