Project Description: Since 2006, KPA Engineers has proudly served the City of Harker Heights on Street Rehabilitation and Improvement projects. We are currently working on the 2022 Street Improvement Projects and look forward to continuing efforts to enhance the City of Harker Heights in the years to come.
2022 Street Improvements
This project consists of five parts in which various roadway reconstructions and repairs will occur. Of these projects, Seminole Trace, Yuron Trace, and Maya Trail will undergo roadway reconstruction, ribbon curb installations, and corresponding traffic control. Additional cement stabilization and concrete overlay will take place at Sun Meadows Drive.
2021 Street Improvements Project
This project includes the rehabilitation of several streets in Harker Heights, including Chaucer Lane, Crowfoot Drive, Miller’s Crossing, Pioneer Trail, Wildewood Drive, Memory Lane, Shelby Lane, Drawbridge Drive, and Comanche Gap. The project also includes installing drainage improvements to Indian Trail and Wildewood Drive.
Street improvements include cement stabilization, asphalt overlay, curb installation, and striping. Additional point repairs include saw cuts, removal of existing materials, and full-depth asphalt repairs.
Sidewalk improvements to Nola Ruth Boulevard and Old Nolanville Road include the construction of a 6-foot wide sidewalk, a flume crossing, and installing a handrail.
Drainage improvements associated with Indian Trail include the installation of a trench drain and an 8″ PVC drain, asphalt trench repair, curb, sidewalk, and driveway replacement. These improvements will collect and convey groundwater that has surfaced and flows down Nola Ruth and Indian Trail. Wildewood Drive drainage improvements include the removal of the existing box culverts and installing reinforced concrete box culverts, storm sewer installation, curb inlets, headwalls, sloped treatments, and a 5-foot wide sidewalk.
Scope of Services: Final Design, Surveying, Geotechnical clearances, On-Site Representation, and Construction Administration.
