Prairie Dell Water System Improvements, Phases I & II
Jarrell-Schwertner Water Supply Corporation
Project Description: This project includes constructing an 18-inch transmission water line from JSWSC’s northern service area in Salado to their storage tank near Jarrell. This project will bring contracted treated surface water from Central Texas WSC to JSWSC’s main water plant to increase water availability in an area of their system experiencing exponential growth. The project is broken out into two phases.
Phase I of this project extends approximately 7,000 feet of 18-inch water line beginning at the connection point with CTWSC transmission main on Royal Street in Salado, Texas. The line will head east to Armstrong Road, then turn south to the intersection with FM 2268. Additional project elements include the preliminary layout of a future Booster Pump Station and Ground Storage Tank located at the CTWSC take point on Royal Street.
Phase II of this project is approximately 38,500 feet of 18-inch water line beginning at the termination point of Phase I, the Armstrong Road and FM 2268 intersection. The water line then extends south along Gooseneck Road to Bean Road. The line will head west on Bean Road, continue to Hackberry Road, and terminates at the Prairie Dell Water Plant Site on Hackberry Road.
