TIRZ Wastewater System, Phase I | City of Lorena

Project Description: The City of Lorena created a Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone to fund projects to allow for economic development within the City of Lorena.  Their first project was the development of a wastewater system within the TIRZ area to allow for future development.  KPA was selected as the Engineer to prepare the flow projections, sizing, alignment, permitting, schedule and OPCs for the new system.

KPA worked closely with the City Staff and economic development personnel to develop the primary improvements to be constructed to meet City requirements and deadlines agreed to in economic development agreements.  The total study encompassed 1,400 acres and recommended approximately $8 million of improvements to extend the sewerage system to the proposed TIRZ boundary.  The study and subsequent Phase I construction plans were completed on an expedited timeline.

Scope of Services: Prepared flow projections, sizing, alignment, permitting, schedule, and OPCs.
