Leander Road Widening & Improvements
Project Description: With a current average of 14,719 vehicles per day and a high congestion rate, this 0.69-mile project will increase vehicle capacity by widening Leander Road to a four-lane, divided major arterial from South West Bypass to Norwood Drive. Additional project improvements include a grass median and sidewalks on both sides of the road. KPA Engineers provided the design of open ditch drainage and water quality improvements for this City of Georgetown project.
Mobility and safety improvements for this project include adding lanes to increase capacity, realigning and straightening curves along the roadway, and improving accommodations for pedestrians and cyclists. This project would alleviate congestion, provide drainage and safety improvements and help plan for the region’s future transportation.
Scope of Services: Project Management, Final Design, Bidding Services, and Construction Administration.
