Project Description: Crossroads Park was an extensive and complex project that was broken into multiple phases and spans an area of 306 acres. This park is the largest complex in the city of Temple and has brought significant unity and growth to the community. The park includes trails for hiking and biking, a 27-hole disk golf course, 4 baseball fields, 4 softball fields, 7 soccer fields, a multi-use field, 6 tennis courts, and a public playground. Phase 1 of the complex, which included designing and constructing the four championship baseball, softball, and soccer fields, was executed by KPA. The phase also included the design and construction of the site maintenance building, playground, pavilions, landscaping, signage utilities, parking facilities, connection to the nearby roadways, and a water feature which were also constructed by KPA. This multi-million-dollar development has become the location for many sport club events and Citywide functions.
The park does not just stand-alone but intertwines to allow for people to hike/bike through the Pepper Creek Trail and FM 2305 Trail. This trail provides one of the most widespread trails in Temple, Texas. The complex connects to Research Parkway and Prairie View Road to allow for easy access to and from the park. This improvement has provided a place for a community to unite and has supported the growth of Temple, Texas. Through this project, you can see our focus on the public and how we strive to make a place where municipalities can bring their citizens together for enjoyment.
