North 31st Street and Temple Independent School District Parking Lot Improvements Awarded 2021 Outstanding Construction Award
Temple, TX
The North 31st Street and Temple Independent School District Parking Lot Improvements project has been awarded the 2021 Outstanding Construction Award by the Associated General Contractors of America – Austin Chapter.
As the lead design firm for this project, KPA worked closely with Emerson Construction Company, Inc, The City of Temple, Temple ISD, and Covey Planning + Landscape Architecture to create aesthetically pleasing traffic safety enhancements and an easily accessible corridor.
The project features a traffic circle connecting IH-35, Bray Street, Calhoun Road, and Temple High School. In addition, the project included storm drainage, water, and underground utility elements. Also noteworthy was the installation of the statue of Temple High School’s “Wildcat” mascot at the roundabout’s center.
This project has increased pedestrian and driver safety while adding to the beauty of the City of Temple.
