Mack Parker and Trae Sutton received TxDOT Training and Qualification for Local Government Project Procedures April 21st and 22nd, 2010 in Waco, Texas.
All local entities are required to have a trained individual assigned to each project being performed through an advanced funding agreement with TxDOT. The Local Government Project Procedures (LGPPP) Qualification Program offers classes that certify individuals to work on these projects. Individuals working directly on LGPP projects should take this class, including project managers, consultants and local government employees.
The class is 12 hours and covers the following topics:
- Introduction to the Qualification Program
- Non-design or construction information
- Design, traffic operations and bridges
- Bid document preparation
- Bid opening, award and contract execution
- Construction contract administration
