KPA Presents Wastewater Master Plan to The City of Corsicana
Corsicana, TX
Project Description: The population of the City of Corsicana has been increasing since the year 1900. The current growth rate for the City is about 0.7%. To best serve the City of Corsicana’s rapidly growing population, KPA Engineers developed a Wastewater Master Plan which includes a comprehensive evaluation and analysis of Corsicana’s existing infrastructure improvements. The Plan will provide ongoing initiatives and the developments needed to give the growing population adequate wastewater infrastructure.
We began the planning process with several work sessions with City Staff to gather updated information about the current conditions of the wastewater system components. Then KPA performed flow monitoring to determine existing peak flows and areas of concern regarding inflow and infiltration. Future land use models and proposed development plans were utilized by Sewer GEMS to generate wastewater flow projections. An overall planning area boundary was established, along with the identification of drainage basins and sub-basins. The final Master Plan report will identify improvements necessary to the wastewater system within the City’s planning area. Phased implementation plans, as well as cost estimates, will be included in the Plan.
Scope of Services: Services provided by KPA include Data Collection and Analysis, Flow Monitoring and Analysis, Wastewater System Analysis, Phasing plan, OPC’s, and preparation of Reports.
