MEDICAL & PRESCRIPTION
Medical: The medical plan offered by KPA is designed to promote wellness and protect you and family members from major financial hardships in the event of illness or injury. KPA offers the Curative PPO health plan. KPA pays the premium for full-time employees and a portion of their spouse and dependents premiums.
Prescription: Drug Prescription coverage is provided to full-time employees at no cost and a portion of their spouse and dependents premiums
DENTAL
Dental coverage is provided to full-time employees at no cost as well as a portion of their spouse and dependents premium.
VISION
Voluntary vision coverage is offered to full-time employees.
DISABILITY & LIFE INSURANCE
Disability: Short and long term disability are offered to full-time employees at no cost to the employee.
Life Insurance: Basic Term Life insurance is provided to full-time employees at no cost to the employee.
FLEXIBLE/COMPRESSED WORK SCHEDULE
A voluntary Flexible/Compressed Work Schedule is available to all employees, except on-site representatives, due to the nature of their duties. This schedule will allow eligible employees to work four 9-hour days (Monday-Thursday) and one 4-hour day (Friday afternoon).
PAID SICK LEAVE & RESERVE SICK LEAVE
Paid Sick Leave: Upon completion of six months of full-time employment, KPA employees are eligible for 40 hours of paid sick leave.
Reserve Sick Leave: Full-time employees may accumulate additional sick leave beyond the standard 40 hours per year. These days may be earned in any year when the employee does not use more than three days of standard sick leave.
HOLIDAYS
Paid Holidays become effective immediately upon full-time employment. KPA observes 10 paid holidays per year.
VACATION
Upon acceptance of permanent, full-time employment, the employee is generally eligible for 2-weeks and one day (88 hours) of paid vacation prorated to the amount of work time remaining within the Firm’s vacation year.
After five years of dedicated full-time employment, you will receive an additional 5 days (40 hours) of paid vacation as a token of our appreciation for your valuable contributions and unwavering commitment. This will bring your total potential paid vacation to 3 weeks and 1 day (128 hours).
EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE
After six months full-time employment, KPA offers employees reimbursement of tuition and any fees with a grade of “A” or “B” in work related courses up to $1,500 per year.
401K PLAN
KPA makes a contribution towards eligible employee’s 401K account matching dollar for dollar up to 6% of the employee’s annual salary. Eligibility in enrollment of the 401K Plan begins on the date of hire.
TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS
To assist in the employee’s career development, KPA covers membership dues to various technical and professional associations. These Associations include Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Water Works Association (AWWA), Water Environment Federation (WEF), Texas Public Works Association (TPWA) and American Society of Certified Engineering Technicians (ASCET) to name a few.

We believe in making a difference in the community in which we live and work by supporting various charitable causes and community sponsored events.
