Blackland Road Extension and Utility Improvements | City of Temple

Temple, TX

This City of Temple, Texas project features the extension of Blackland Road and will include the construction of a four-lane divided roadway, installing water and wastewater utilities, storm drainage, landscaping, and a new sidewalk along the corridor. Blackland Road will extend from Little River Road to State Highway 95 and include a crossing at Knob Creek. The Blackland Road extension will tie into future improvements of Little River Road and State Highway 95. 

In addition to improved water and wastewater utilities, the Blackland Road extension will provide better vehicular and pedestrian mobility for the South East portion of Temple, Texas. 

As the proud consulting firm for this project, KPA has developed the preliminary and final designs for the roadway and utility improvements. In addition, KPA has provided Environmental, Surveying, Geotechnical, Bidding services, construction administration, and on-site representation for these developments. KPA Engineers collaborated with Covey Planning + Landscape Architecture to plan and implement landscaping efforts throughout the project.
