On August 4, 2017 Temple celebrated the groundbreaking for the Santa Fe Business Center at Santa Fe Plaza. The Santa Fe Plaza is a multi-functional plaza around the Santa Fe Depot and by the new Santa Fe Business Center. The 34,000 square foot Santa Fe Business Center is a $7 million dollar capital investment project in Downtown Temple. The project is a partnership between the Temple Economic Development Corporation and the Temple Chamber of Commerce.

The Business Center will be the new offices for Temple Economic Development Corporation and the Temple Chamber of Commerce. It will also be Temple Independent School Districts’ new administrative building and Workforce Solutions of Central Texas will move into the facility as a tenant.

KPA Engineers provided all civil site design including utilities, drainage, and roads. KPA’s subsidiary, Covey Landscape, provided all landscape architectural design as well. KPA and Covey Landscape are also under contract for providing construction administration services.
