Progress on Georgetown’s SE Inner Loop | FM 1460 to Austin Avenue

Georgetown, TX

The new 10-foot hike and bike trail that begins at the intersection of SE Inner Loop and F.M. 1460 is almost complete! This new hike and bike trail will run parallel to the SE Inner Loop roadway and end at South Austin Avenue Road. Before the new hike and bike trail, there were no pedestrian or bicycle structures. The 10-foot hike and bike trail will provide safe pedestrian and bicycle movement within the corridor.

The SE Inner Loop roadway improvements are making a significant impact already! The previous two-lane rural roadway underwent an expansion to five lanes providing additional capacity to commuters. The roadway updates begin near the F.M. 1460 intersection and conclude at South Austin Avenue and SE Inner Loop. The roadway improvements will promote traffic movement through the area and support future commercial developments along this artery of Georgetown.

As part of the project, KPA has provided the preliminary and final designs, assessed the conditions, presented possible improvements, delivered the preliminary and final designs, furnished environmental services, and continues ongoing efforts for the project’s success and completion.
