Project Description: The Southeast Arterial One Project was developed to connect State Highway 130 with Georgetown’s Southeast Inner Loop, which will become the Southwest Bypass of Georgetown. This project consisted of three miles of freeway section roadway with access roads, main lanes and three elevated intersections. The project was designed in phases to effectively finance the roadway. Phase I of the project consists of over 300,000 cubic yards of material that will be balanced on the site and utilized in future phases. Highway standard paving sections were designed utilizing flexible base, mid-base geogrid material and multi-course hot mix asphalt concrete pavement. Fifteen drainage structures varying from multiple 18” culverts to 3-10’x6’ reinforced concrete box culverts were included, as well as water quality features for storm waters in the recharge zone of the Edwards Aquifer. Coordination with dry utilities as well as relocation of wet utilities was required under this project.

Scope of Services Provided: Final Design (Plans and Specifications), Surveying, Permitting, Easement Preparation, Opinion of Probable Cost, Bidding, Review of Bids and Recommendation to Award Contract, and Construction Administration.
