LiDAR, which stands for Light Detection and Ranging, uses laser light to map real-world environments. At KPA Engineers, we utilize the DJI Matrice 300 RTK integrated with the Zenmuse L1 LiDAR sensor.

With LiDAR, information can be gathered under an assortment of conditions, including low sun edge, dark skies, and even haziness, meaning extended windows for information accumulation. The L1 LiDAR System forms a complete solution that gives real-time 3D data, efficiently capturing the details of complex structures and delivering highly accurate reconstructed models.

The L1 LiDAR System allows us to boost the efficiency of data collection by quickly creating reality models that include plots and generate orthomosaics,  photos comprised of hundreds of smaller overlapping images, in real-

time so our team can immediately visualize land cover and identify any changes. We map large work sites to acquire detailed and precise data, allowing our team to optimize their project planning and design efforts.
